Dr. N.S.N. Murthy is the current Chairman of Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL). He is a highly reputed scientist and has a vast knowledge in energy and environment related fields. He has more than 35 years of experience, both nationally and internationally, in the areas of energy and environment related activities. He has also served as an expert to many international organizations like the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), World Bank, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Dr. Murthy holds a PhD degree in Energy and Environment from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He also holds a PG Diploma in Renewable Energy and Environmental Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. Apart from these, he has also attended various other courses related to energy and environment, such as the Nuclear Energy for Sustainable Development, Nuclear Safety and Security and the Nuclear Law and Regulation Course.

Dr. Murthy started his career in 1983 as an Assistant Executive Engineer in the Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL). In 2003, he was appointed as the Chairman of KREDL and since then he has been serving in the same post.
